Thomas Tuchel could remain at Bayern Munich following talks between his agent Olaf Meinking and club executives.

Recall Tuchel was initially set to leave the German giants at the end of the season due to underwhelming results.

However, report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano now suggests that his recent performance has changed the club’s stance.

Romano wrote on X “Thomas Tuchel’s agent Olaf Meinking has been spotted in a meeting with Bayern board today.

“It took place at Bayern’s headquarters, as revealed by BILD.”

Despite Bayern’s semi-final exit in the Champions League against Real Madrid, the manager’s efforts is said to have convinced the club’s hierarchy to keep him on.

His agent Meinking was spotted at Bayern’s training ground on Wednesday afternoon, where discussions took place regarding a potential contract extension.

This development is a setback for Manchester United, who had considered Tuchel as a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag if they decide to call time on the Dutchman.

Tuchel had also shown interest in the United role, but his imminent renewal of commitment to Bayern could hinder such move.

It is understood that the interest from Manchester United strengthened Tuchel’s position at discussing Bayern extention.
