Barcelona have reportedly offered to host Spain matches in their Spotify Camp Nou stadium that is currently under reconstruction.

Football Espana reported that the City council has expressed excitement about the redevelopment project and its potential impact.

The excitement extends to the possibility of hosting Spain’s international matches in Barcelona. Meanwhile, Barcelona City Council has a strong interest in leveraging the new stadium for this purpose.

However, the request to host Spain’s matches in Barcelona will be considered by the Spanish Football Federation.

If approved, the stadium would not only be reestablish as an international match host, but could also increase the chances of the Spotify Camp Nou hosting some fixtures for the 2030 World Cup.

Recall that Spain, Portugal, and Morocco have been announced as the joint hosts for the 2030 World Cup.
