In the last few years, Google has gone into overdrive while Apple spends more of its time rejecting ‘masturbation apps’ and pulling ‘weed games’ from their app store.
Google this week joined Instagram, expanding their presence on the internet. Four days after joining the online photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service, the account has gained over 44,000 followers.
Meanwhile, Google has surpassed Apple as the most valuable brand in the world after three years at the top, a new survey says.
According to Millward Brown’s ‘BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands’ ranking, Apple’s brand value fell by 20pc in the past year to just under $148bn, conceding the spot to Google, whose value increased by 40pc to $159bn
Another tech force Facebook’s brand value rose 68pc to around $36bn, putting it 21st in the rankings.
