Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola, has held President Goodluck Jonathan, responsible for the robbery attack that occurred yesterday March 12, in Lekki Phase 1 – resulting in the death of three policemen and one civilian (a young fish seller who was crossing the road at the time of the incident).
The robbery saw a fierce gun battle between the men of the Nigerian Police and the Armed robbers who came to rob a branch of the First City Monument Bank, Lekki Branch.
Fashola made the accusation on Thursday night at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos, during the All Progressives Congress event, tagged: ‘An Evening For Nigeria’.
During the event, the governor said: “.Because Jonathan was coming to Lagos, all the vehicles and police in Lagos were sent to be on standby for him, and there was no available not enough to stop the robbery at Ikoyi-Lekki link bridge,” he said.
