Kaka’s ex-wife debunks divorcing footballer for being ‘too perfect’

The ex-wife of Brazilian football icon Ricardo Kaka, Caroline Celico refutes circulating reports suggesting that she ended her marriage with the football star because he was “too perfect” for her.

Kaka and Celico tied the knot in December 2005, and their union brought forth two children: a son named Luca Celico Leite (born June 10, 2008), and a daughter named Isabella Celico Leite (born April 23, 2011).

After a decade of marriage, they went separate ways without publicly disclosing the reason for their divorce until a fabricated quote attributed to Celico surfaced on Sunday.

The quote claimed, “Kaka never betrayed me; he always treated me well, and he gave me a wonderful family, but I was not happy; something was missing. The problem was that he was too perfect for me.”

This led to widespread speculation among fans, with some criticizing Celico and others suggesting that she might not have been content in her relationship with the 2007 Ballon d’Or winner.

However, Celico took to her Instagram story to debunk the viral statement regarding her divorce from Kaka, labelling it as ‘false’ and ‘fake’.

The expectant mother also shared insights about her future with her current husband, Eduardo Scarpa Julião.
