Stepahanie Coker Reacts To Buhari’s ‘Other Room’ Comment

Several reactions have trailed the President Muhammadu Buhari’s comment on the place of the first lady, Aisha Buhari.

Recall that the president in a viral video had said the place of Aisha Buhari is in the Kitchen, his living room and the other room.

In reaction, several people have called the president out on what was described as an unfair statement. Femi Fani Kayode described the president’s actions as one being influenced by the demons inside Aso villa.

TV personality, Stephanie Coker, also has this to say about the controversial statement:

“I feel so privileged to be growing up in an era where women are presidents of countries, women are running conglomerates, women are effortlessly juggling child bearing whilst running billion dollar companies, discovering cures to treating diseases and so many other extraordinary things. No woman should be confined to a kitchen, living room or any “other room”. My country has progressed so much in encouraging young girls to pursue their dreams. To be hearing this in 2016 breaks me and I will speak against it till it is finished. #RespectAWomanAndBeRespected”

  1. I’ll do my investigations and report back. Please, the people should go on with their normal businesses without fear or fright because I am on top of the matter. Investigations are still on…

  2. I personally don’t think Buhari meant it in the way the world is taking it… Even though i hate his government

    • I Agree with you, even the wife is more educated and speaks very well, that’s why men should watch and learn when talking to women.

  3. Mr. President did not ponder over what he wanted to airing out. He just said what was at his mind at that particular time. taking it as a joke, not knowing that nigerian will take it dat serious.
