Super Eagles Beat Ethiopia 2-1 In Addis Ababa To Set Up An Easy Second Leg Clash


In a pulsating and nerve gripping 90 minutes of football, the Steven Keshi led Super Eagles of Nigeria cut out a 2-1 victory away in Ethiopia to set up an easy second leg clash in Calabar.

The Ethiopians came out all in all and gave the Super Eagles a great run for the points in the first half. The adverse weather condition wasn’t helping also as the players had to go on water breaks to try and cool off even during the match.

The pace continued slowly and the game became balanced with the equaliser until the Ethiopians conceeded a penalty in the 90th minute of the match which Emmanuel Emenike calmly put in to give the Super Eagles a 2-1 victory.
