Underground gas explosion hit Johannesburg, several people injured
Reports coming in say that several people have been injured after an underground gas explosion hit Johannesburg.
According to reports, the gas explosion caused a lot of damage including injuring people in the process.
Johannesburg community policing forums have released a statement acknowledging the gas explosion on Bree Street, near Eloff, in central Johannesburg.
However, the police have disclosed that it is unclear at this stage what caused the explosion, but the statement says it is possibly from gas lines underground.
The general public has been asked to stay clear of the area as emergency services make their way there.
