How Ten Hag forced his men to listen to Man City celebrate after derby defeat

Erik ten Hag reportedly ordered his team to sit in silence and listen to Manchester City celebrate after disappointing 3-0 loss on Sunday.

The derby defeat left the Red Devils eighth place in the Premier League, and marked their fifth loss in their first ten league games.

Furious with his team’s performance, Ten Hag, rather than addressing the issues in the dressing room, ordered his players to sit in silence and listen to Manchester City’s celebration on the other side of the tunnel.

He also forced them to hear the away City fans were cheering their victorious side.

The manager’s post-match plans were altered as well, as he had initially intended to give the squad a bonus day off if they had defeated the Premier League reigning champions.

However, after the defeat, he canceled the plan, and the players were called in for further discussions and analysis.

While there is no clear indication that Ten Hag’s position as Manchester United manager is under immediate threat, concerns are growing at the club over the team’s performances.

The manager’s debut season was impressive, as he helped end a six-year trophy drought for United.

He also earned the club a Champions League place, but recent results have cast a shadow over his sides chances to even finish top four in the league this season.
