Nunez sealed the win with his second goal in stoppage time, converting Joe Gomez’s cross from the right.

Despite Arsenal’s 5-0 win against Crystal Palace and Manchester City’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle, Liverpool maintains their lead at the top of the Premier League.

Their next challenge is the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Fulham, where they enter the match with a 2-1 aggregate lead from the first leg.
